    Oracle Application Express (ApEx) is a rapid web application development tool for the Oracle database. Using only a Web browser and limited programming experience, you can develop and deploy professional applications that are both fast and secure. Oracle APEX is a fully supported, no cost option of the Oracle database. In this video series, Bradley D. Brown (bio below) walks you through everything you need to do in order to start creating ApEx applications. Brad starts by showing you how to creating your own FREE cloud-based workspace on Apex.Oracle.Com and walks you through everything from provisioning your ApEx account after receiving your confirmation email to the ApEx object browser (i.e. like TOAD or SQL Developer for the browser), executing SQL commands, writing SQL scripts, the query builder, how to load data into an existing or new table from a delimited file, generating Data Definition Langage code (DDL), writing MVC methods (i.e. insert, update, delete and select functions) on tables, creating and editing user interface defaults, then Brad covers administrative functions such as managing services, users and groups, monitoring activity, dashboards, and utilization reports. There are starting with an introduction to application development with ApEx, loading the data for the application,creating an application from a spreadsheet, creating an instant application, creating an application from scratch, and then Brad goes into detail about page region controls and shared components are explained in detail. Brad covers the many application regions starting with creating your first region such as an HTML Region. There are videos that cover page rendering and page processing and shared components. Additional regions are discussed such as multiple HTML regions, interactive reports, classic reports, wizard-based reports, creating a form and report, creating a tabular form, creating master detail and form on SQL, creating a form on a procedure and creating a summary form, creating charts, plug-ins, maps, trees (i.e. connect-bys), calendars, lists and the purpose of page 0. Breadcrumbs and PLSQL regions, URL regions and iFrames, the region display selector, help text, wizard pages, data mapper loader wizard, feedback pages and the infamous login page and access control. There is SO much content in this class! This training session will take you from 1-5 days to complete. Brad covers Oracle Application Express (ApEx) from the ground up through advanced topics. Bradley D. Brown. Brad is the CTO and founder of InteliVideo, a cloud-based video marketplace. Brad was a TUSC founder and is currently a board advisor for TUSC. TUSC was sold to Rolta in 2008. Brad also founded IntelliReal in 2005, which was sold to Equifax in 2011. His vast experience and expertise have earned him roles as acting chief information officer of several companies over more than 23 years at TUSC. Brad has also served on numerous company boards. Brad is the author of several best selling Oracle Press books. Oracle awarded Brad the honorary title of Oracle ACE Director for Fusion Middleware. Brad taught “New Venture Creation” at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business for 2 years. In 2009, his alma mater, Illinois State University put Brad into their first Hall of Fame for the College of Applied Science and Technology.
